“Amanda Swift's energy and creativity lit up the Makerspace class at Creative Kids Camp, encouraging and empowering our campers to design and create captivating works that combined art and engineering, thoroughly suffused with imagination. We can't wait to have Amanda back next summer!”

“My daughter really enjoyed learning in a fun environment. She loved the fact that she was not just learning about birds but got to imagine actually being a bird and that made the topic come to life.”

-Cara, mother of a child who attended the “Birds and Beaks” Spring Event

“Graysen was a little nervous to attend the class but warmed up to the instructor and other attending kids. He enjoyed the various centers and loved using the tools. It was extremely hands-on. I’m glad a lot of the activities focused on using fine motor skills. Perfect for kids!”

-Jaclyn, attended “Birds and Beaks” Spring Event

“ As a mother of two with very different interests, Creative STEAM Kids Camp has been so wonderful. I have one child who loves all things artistic and another who does not feel like they are creative and they both LOVE this camp. The instructors are engaging and caring and the activities are varied. Ms. Swift and her team really take the time to design activities that appeal to all kids. Dropping my kids off in one location and knowing that I will pick them up feeling happy, tired, and fulfilled puts my mind at ease. I can't recommend it highly enough!”

“Creative Steam Kids has been a favorite camp for my kid and her friends for several years. Ms. Swift and her assistant staff are dedicated, caring, trustworthy, and SO MUCH FUN! The activities they plan are a perfect balance of educational, creative, engaging, stimulating, and relaxing. The kids not only produce art and projects, but learn to be thoughtful and have perspective and think about the world around them. The field trips get the kids outside, and they are always coming up with summer activities like water play or outdoor art to make sure everyone enjoys the sunshine too. This camp is so fabulous you will want to sign yourself up for it too!”

“It was a pleasure working with Amanda and Creative STEAM Kids. The programming was so creative and combined the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math in ways I’d never seen before. Supplies were easy to find and registration was simple. Best of all, my students really enjoyed the classes.”

-Rachel from “Serve Your City” (students from Serve Your City took a virtual STEAM class series offered by Creative STEAM Kids)

“Amanda Swift conducted an amazing project with our children from the Washington Highland public housing development. She was exceptionally creative with the Kindness Trail Project. The children had a blast. During her instruction, she was very kind with the youth. Our community and our children are often showered with disfavor, Amanda was so gracious and made it a lot of fun.”

-Brenda, from “Friends of Oxon Run” (participated in an “Arts Pop-up” event with Creative STEAM Kids and CHAW)

“I enjoyed the STEAM art camp because of the interactive projects and the connections I made there. The variety of projects that you can do makes it so that everyone can find something they like. My personal favorites were the ones where we worked with electronics and lights. The community there is very friendly and inclusive and Ms. Swift, the sponsor, is great.”

-Nathan, Creative STEAM Kids Camper

Ms. Swift expertly guides students as they explore various themes and mediums and visit different museums and gardens for inspiration. Each day is thoughtfully planned, well-structured, and filled with unique hands-on activities. Working with the talented Ms. Swift and seeing the students learn, create, and enjoy art was a memorable experience!”
